Good morning from London
I could have mistaken landing at Heathrow for returning to Australia as a patchwork of sun scorched fields lay below us on the descent.
But there was no mistaking London on our drive through Knightsbridge, down Piccadilly and around Bloomsbury Square to reach our ‘home’ for the next few days, even if the traditional black garb of London habitants had been ditched for shorts and bare shoulders more suited to Bondi
We’re back. After the longest period away from the UK since I moved to Australia (or rather wandered there and ended up staying) our three-year exile has ended, and we’ve landed in London during another of its increasingly less-rare heatwaves to start several weeks of catching up on UK and European life, much of it centred around events
We’ll be heading to Scotland for beautiful Blair Castle International (where it is reassuringly raining at the moment and will no doubt be lush and green by the time we arrive next week), back down to my favourite city of Stamford and Burghley before heading for some of La Dolce Vita in Italy at the Pratoni 2022 World Championships
Come join us on our next eventing road trip!
