Dressage at Adelaide - I'm looking forward to Jo Brady (who helps me with flatwork) and the rest of the team arriving soon. Photo: Jenelle Christopher
Warren and Susie went off to a comp today so I decided stay at the stables and try to be diligent.
The ground is drying out after a particularly wet winter so I have been preparing the paddocks so Ninja can go out of the stables to graze. Yesterday I smudged them so they were as level as possible and today I rolled them. They should be dry enough in the next few days.
This morning I did some dressage after a gallop the day before. He is going well on the flat, but I will be glad to get some eyes on the ground in Jo Brady when she comes out here, just to stop me taking something too far thinking that it is good when it isn't. Some mutual friends of Jo and myself have contributed to have her come over and I must say it is greatly appreciated by all of our team.
Whilst on the subject of thanking, I am not sure if I have thanked those that came to our fundraiser party in Ocean Grove. The turn up and generosity was overwhelming.
We have a show jumping clinic on Monday that has been organised by Paul Tapner. All the top Australian based riders will be there so it will be good to catch up with friends and to meet new people as well.
My family and grooms are in the air now flying From Australia. I have been missing them and am very excited to see them tomorrow morning. Things are definitely moving along in a hurry now.
Until next time,
Murray.
