End of a big day.
Dressage today was a little disappointing. Under The Clocks went into the large stadium with a good warm up and everything going according to plan. Our only start this year had increased his percentage in dressage from just over 66 at Adelaide, to 71 percent.
Basically he broke in the extended trot where maybe I could have been more conservative due to the arena atmosphere. Then in some of the flying changes he lost attention and was inaccurate. The test had some really good scores and a few ordinary ones.
In the end he tried and lacked experience as did his rider to some degree. Mind you that is why we came over here in the first place. There are so many things that have influenced our performance which, if we do any other trips like this, we will be better placed to control or change.
Certainly he has much better performances ahead of him and we look forward to those.
Cross country tomorrow. We will see if we can do better there.
