Heading back for Barbury

Don Skipcello with daughter India on the local beach

Apologies for not blogging for a while.

Since last time I haven't competed very much. I have been practising though as well as bringing along a new batch of horses in between coaching, farm work, the kids' sport and even a new venture with the excellent Devoucoux saddles from France.

The next item on our calendar is a trip to the UK to catch up with our horse Under the Clocks (Ninja) and I will be heading there to compete him at Barbury in the 2*. Making it possible is financial support from Marcus Oldham College; I went to school there years ago and the benefits continue.Last week Chris Burton took Ninja for a little run around Salperton getting hime ready for me to come over; I would have loved to be riding him there myself but have to work to pay for the privilege. I certainly miss sitting on him

However Don Skipcello is in work here as the practise pony for me before coming back to some 3* competitions here in the second half of the year. He just keeps improving and I enjoy riding him more all the time.

I will report again soon.

Murray.
