Before boarding a plane for Germany, where Ninja was waiting patiently to get back to our shared interest of eventing competitions, we enjoyed a one day clinic with Prue Barrett. This allowed me to start to get my head back to overseas focused approach instead of a shared focus on farm, business and other horses.
We had also had good competition at Werribee with the horses from home showing plenty of promise for when I get back again.
Saying goodbye to family and friends has come about all too quickly but time will fly as it always does and I will be back with them again.
Stuck in the rain in Ho Chi Min stop over on the way to Frankfurt
For those I didn't get to see or for too brief a time we will definitely have a party after Pau to celebrate the big year that has been and what is to come.
If anyone wants contact me while I am away email is going to be the best way [email protected]
When I arrived back at Lastrup it was great to see that Ninja looked really well. His coat looks lovely and healthy and he has an end stable with a view to the parking area, which I am sure he is happier in.
I have a room and a separate kitchen and bathroom at the Alex and James Wright's house. Some would remember them living in Victoria before moving back to Alex's native home.
On board Ninja - apparently it has been a dry summer out here ... but not today
It is pouring with rain today (it’s supposed to last all week!) but I hope to take Ninja for a hack out later before I have a session tomorrow. I am looking forward to starting out again and also to putting the changes to my riding back into our partnership.
Talk to you soon about all of that.
