Emma Scott shot into the limelight in 2007 when she won the Two Star class at the Melbourne Three Day event with her promising horse, Mustang. Since then Emma and Mustang have built on their promise at higher levels although unfortunately injury prevented Mustang from competing in 2010.
In 2011 they made a successful return to the competition arena including placing 7th at the Deloitte Australian International Three Day Event in Adelaide, at their first attempt at the only 4 Star competition in the Southern Hemisphere. As such, Emma also won the HSBC Training Bursary. This is a unique award which is presented to the highest placed rider never to have completed a 4 star level event prior to 1st January 2011. Emma and Mustang are on the Equestrian Australia National ‘A’Squad for Eventing.
Emma’s young home bred horse, Jenbern Monyana has also fulfilled great promise; winning the Young Event Horse class at the Sydney International Three Day Event in 2009 and they are now competing successfully at Three Star level.
