The Alltech Music Festival in Normandy

Alltech is sharing in the excitement of the 100 day countdown to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy with its announcement of the Alltech Music Festival, a programme of entertainment for all visitors to this global event, which will crown eight world champions from August 23rd – September 7th in Normandy, France.

The Alltech Music Festival will take place right in the heart of the Games Village in Caen and offer a broad musical spectrum of acts for visitors. A total of eight concerts will take place throughout the fifteen days of the Games and it is anticipated that up to 8,000 concert goers will enjoy 30 hours of live music from international acts such as Kool and the Gang to local Caen artists such as Casseurs Flowters. The Alltech Music Festival is free to all visitors to the Games village with concerts commencing from 7 pm each night.

The Games’ village at the Parc des Expositions will be the heart of the WEG, just a matter of minutes from the Ornano stadium, very close to Le Zénith arena and the Hippodrome de la Prairie racetrack, offering the public a varied programme of festivities and quality entertainment.  Shows, beginners’ courses, discoveries, musical and equestrian entertainers, demonstrations of the industry’s skills and disciplines, mini-stables, partners and exhibitors’ stands and restaurants… In total, some 10 hours of entertainment is scheduled each day across an area spanning 110,000m2, with some 500 horses and 450 people in action. Open from 11am to 10pm, the village will be accessible free of charge to those with tickets for the competitions while for others, entry will cost only 5 Euros for the day.

Games visitors will also get the opportunity to visit the Alltech Pavilion which aims to communicate a sustainable future through nutrition, a key objective at Alltech. Visitors to the Alltech Pavilion located in the heart of the Games Village will experience the future for a sustainable world through a series of interactive displays including live crop grow tanks, DNA structures and fish tanks with more than 300 fish featuring the story of eating our way to a better life.

Alongside the Alltech Pavilion visitors will have the chance to experience Equispher presented by Alltech. Through this exhibition they can experience the world as the horse sees it and learn about the horse’s behaviour, senses and sporting ability via a wealth of interactive displays and sensory tools. This innovative tented exhibition is expected to welcome 30,000 French school children for an inspirational educational experience.  Entry to both of these highly educational exhibitions is free and features bilingual content throughout.
