The FEI World Equestrian Games, created in 1990 are held every four years and are by far the largest equestrian event. In 2014, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy will be host to 8 World Championships, one of which is Dressage
A discipline full of harmony, dressage showcases the elegance of a horse and its natural sense of balance and demands complete affinity with its rider. The rider and horse are expected to perform a number of either predetermined or freestyle figures. Scoring is based on the attitude, the horse’s movement and on fluidity of each of its moves.
The WEG competition involves Team and Individual Competitions and concludes with the Grand Prix Freestyle (Kur) to music for the top 25 combinations
Competition dates; Monday 25th August – Friday 29th August
