Chris Wallis and Lindy Young are heading back to Normandy in August
Following the recent announcements regarding the Ground Juries, Technical Delegates, Chief Stewards, Course Designers, Appeal Committee and Medical Officer appointments for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy we’re delighted to hear that two more Australians will be heading to Normandy in August.
Eventing stewards Chris Wallis and Lindy Young, both from Victoria have received stewarding appointments in Normandy and both are familiar with the venue, having taken part in last year’s Test Event at Le Pin au Haras
Chris is a fount of knowledge, having been appointed as Equestrian Australia’s eventing steward general in 2008 and since then she has played a large part in raising the profile of stewarding at FEI events in Australia and overseas. Chris was part of the steward’s team at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in and was a national technical official at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Lindy too was part of the eventing steward’s team in Kentucky and in 2013 was a recipient of the FEI’s Global Education Program for Eventing. This initiative offers funding assistance to eventing officials to travel to international events so they can further advance their skills.
Both ladies will we’re sure be a great asset for the stewarding team in Normandy where the steward's team for eventing at the Games will be led by Jürgen Petershagen (GER) as Chief Steward and Thierry Castelle (FRA) as assistant Chief Steward.
