The 2023 Eventing Forum and NSO Seminar, to take place at Jardy in France from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd January 2023, will focus on Eventing Future, Sanctions, 5 Star competition standards and Frangible Devices
The Eventing Forum starts with a visit to the cross country site for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at Versailles on Friday morning while the Friday afternoon session at Jardy focusses on the Eventing Future, Sanctions and Organisers before reviewing Risk Management Data and Studies
Social license, media training promoting the sport and horse injuries / fatalities are the main items on the agenda for the Eventing Future session while automatic sanctions for horse falls at a fences, a tired horse and horse fall penalty increase, retrospective sanctions and the review of serious incidents by RMSG/FEI/Officials will be covered in the Sanctions session
The standard/level of 5 Star competitions and competitors and an MER increase and/or limit to category A/B riders will also be examined on Friday afternoon
Break Out sessions on Saturday will also enable further discussion on these main topics following the opening session on Frangible Devices
The final day is dedicated to the NSOs and NF Representatives’ Seminar when participating Federations provide either a short update of the Risk Management programme in their country or report on a specific subject.
Prior to the two-day Forum and Seminar for invited attendees, including Level 3 FEI Eventing Officials, “A” categorised Athletes, National Safety Officers, National Federations’ representatives, 4*/5* Eventing Organisers as well as other stakeholders involved in eventing, a MIM systems course is also organised for the Thursday afternoon
