Prue Barrett catches up with Craig and Alec Lochore at the end of Craig's cross country rides at Adelaide
Alison Duthie caught up with Prue Barrett on Sunday morning at the Australian International 3 Day Event. Prue is of course the Equestrian Australia National Performance Director for Eventing but this weekend was also in Adelaide as a ‘supportive wife’ to the eventual winner Craig Barrett (who was snoozing in the truck at the time of the interview!)
Prue talks about their sons’ reactions to Craig’s cross country round, the emotional attachment to the horses Craig is riding, her thoughts on the cross country course (especially the skinny arrowhead in the water which brought several riders unstuck) and how the sport of eventing is a rollercoaster ride
“You just have to keep on turning up and doing it again”
