Yesterday the road was closed for the horses to gallop across but has re-opened today
A beautifully cool morning greeted the riders and spectators gathered in front of the Adelaide City Council Heritage Stand for the second trot up after the all-important cross country day.
In the CCI2* three horses were held by the Ground Jury – Wendy Schaeffer’s Sun Showers (currently 5th), Stephanie Puris’ Barrowby Green Media Mogul (currently 43rd) and Kate Rogers’ Papa’s Dream (currently 24th) but all three were re-presented and accepted. The second placed Kirby Park Impress ridden by Megan Jones was also held but sadly not accepted on re-presenting after long deliberations by the Ground Jury
All of the eleven horses in the CCI4* presented and were accepted so the focus is now on the final phase of the show jumping. One small change that has occurred overnight is that Charlotte Price and Kinnordy Gambia have had 20 penalties added to their score with a refusal at (yes, you’ve guessed it) the An Eventful Life fence at 6ab
