"It was quite an amazing feeling" said Shane Rose of his show jumping round on CP Qualified, having already jumped a clear round on his second placed horse Virgil and therefore ensuring a win
"After jumping clear on Virgil, I realised that I'd won the event which was great and then all the emotions and excitement you feel when that happens kicked in, but I knew that I had to get back on the job and re-focus for Darcy (CP Qualified). It was difficult for the few minutes while the next horse was in the ring; I was gathering my thoughts, telling myself to concentrate and focus but once I actually got on Darcy, it was back to the job at hand which was to prepare for for the next round"
"He jumped really well - I was a little disappointed to have the pole down, I just let him become a little weak coming around the corner to the double but I'm still really happy with the result"
