Will Enzinger - still on two legs

Tonimbuk Equestrian Centre returned to the eventing circuit this year with its CIC competition in March and this month has also added a Hickstead competition

Today the dressage arenas looked like a dress rehearsal for the Australian International 3 Day Event with all of the seven riders doing the 4* test heading to Adelaide

Will Enzinger was one of those riders and he has two horses entered for the CCI4* - the 11 year old thoroughbred bay gelding Wenlock Aquifer and the 10 year old grey New Zealand Sporthorse, Britannica MVNZ.

Will has had a patchy run up to the Aus3DE in the past two years; he was aiming for the 4* in Adelaide on TS Jamaimo in 2013 when he broke his leg the week before the event and Chris Burton picked up the ride, famously winning the event on his catch ride while Will watched from his hospital bed. In 2014 Will was once again strapped up in Adelaide after fracturing the top of his tibia two weeks before the event and, although he wasn’t mobile enough to trot up his horse Paihia Wilhelm at the horse inspections, he was able to ride with a brace and compete in the CCI2*.

With just over one week to go, we’re happy to report that Will was on two legs, on two horses and looking on good form heading to Adelaide in 2015 when we caught up with him at Tonimbuk
