All the fun of sporting
Although there were no eventing classes as such at the Australasian Police Games there were dressage classes as well as combined training classes, not to mention the sporting classes! It made us wonder how some of the event horses at Equestriad this weekend would cope with a little bit of ‘sporting’ competition!
After a very successful NSW Police Equestrian Games at Camden in March, The NSW Police Equestrian Team recently headed to Werribee for the 2014 Australasian Police Games.

The team consisted of

The happy team
All these results just go to show that our eventing and dressage horses can also compete successfully around the sporting events.
It was a fabulous competition and the weather, although a little wet during the hacking phase, cleared up for two great days of competition. The NSW Police Equestrian team excelled in each discipline on and off the field, enjoying a number of social functions in Melbourne CBD.
The games are a great way to meet competitors from other states and compete in a friendly atmosphere and the team would like to thank the coordinators for the Australasian Police Games for their excellent program and hospitality. We have already booked in the 2016 Australasian Police Games, which are being held at the Sunshine Coast in October 2016.
