It may be nearly the end of the 2012 Australian eventing season but the Queensland International 3 Day Event is getting ready for 2013 with the launch of a new website.
Davcar Horse Floats is the naming rights sponsor for this major event to be held at Morgan Park, Warwick in Queensland from March 21st-24th 2013. There have been many developments to the cross country course here over the past three years and the Queenslanders are keen to show them off to eventers from around Australia. In particular however the Queensland International 3 Day Event is throwing down the gauntlet to New South Wales riders. They believe that the best eventers in Australia hail from Queensland and would like to prove it by offering a chance for riders from Queensland and New South Wales to compete head to head...
Teams of five CCI**riders (plus 2 reserves) may be nominated by QLD and NSW and the top three scores of each team will determine the winning team. And the prize? Well, in addition to bragging rights, enough dollars to make it worth your while and the winning team takes all.
To make it even more attractive, entry for nominated teams and stabling for their horses in the EVENTING STATE OF ORIGIN competition is free. Competitors who elect to also compete in the individual CCI** must pay the normal nomination fee, and are eligible for individual prizes in addition to the State of Origin team prize purse. CCI 1* competitors will soon be advised of a new national initiative in their class which will be both exciting and profitable.
