With only a day to go before the start of the Equestriad CIC event all hands will be on deck to put the finishing touches on what is sure to be a great weekend of eventing. We’re sure there have been plenty of overseas phone call to Equestriad’s President Shane Rose (who has been in Europe) in the run up to the event but we are equally sure that the established Equestriad team have kept things under control.
Katie Roots will be keen to follow up on her Tamworth success
Despite having only just returned home to Australia Shane is planning to ride four horses at Equestriad including Shanghai Joe and CP Qualified in the Bates Saddles CIC3*. Katie Roots and Trevalgar II fresh from their CIC3* win at Tamworth will be hoping for back to back success while Natalie Blundell rides the experienced Algebra and the less experienced Jimmy O’Reilly. With 26 riders in the 3* class the action will be full on with dressage for this class starting on Saturday at 8.30 and cross country on Sunday at 12.30pm.
The CIC2* class has attracted over fifty riders so it has been split into two sections, as has the CIC1* class. There are three sections in the EvA105 class, four in the EvA95 and six in the EvA80 class, including two junior sections … eventing is obviously alive and kicking in NSW!
To get you in the Equestriad mood take a look at the great promotion video with thanks to Peter Haynes.
As well as the equestrian action there will be plenty of tradestands to browse through (and remember these tradestands support your sport so please support them). If you have not purchased tickets to the VIP Marquee (I must do that one year!) there will still be plenty of food on offer at the Equestriad ‘Kitchen’ run by yet more Equestriad team members.
An Eventful Life will be at Equestriad bringing the event to the world through Facebook and Twitter as well as reports and a gallery each night. We will also be there with our video cameras filming as much of the cross country action as we can which you can then purchase.
Roll on the weekend!
