It will be An Eventful Life Blogger vs Blogger at the Queensland International 3 Day Event this year when Natalie Blundell and Stuart Tinney will go head to head as captains of the NSW and Queensland teams in the State of Origin clash. Stuart Tinney was announced as the Queensland captain last month and it was announced that Nat has taken up the mantle for NSW today

Nat will be making her first visit to Morgan Park, Warwick to head the NSW Team from 22nd – 24th March and she is confident that NSW will mount a strong challenge for the glory and of course, the prize money, at the inaugural State of Origin.

Nat had a good season in 2012, missing out on Olympic selection but placing second in the CCI 4* at the Australian International 3 Day Event in Adelaide and being part of the winning Australian Trans-Tasman team in Kihikihi earlier in the year

John Lechner will be covering the Queensland International 3 Day Event for An Eventful Life and will be bringing you daily updates including hopefully the thoughts of the two captains and their teams during the event.

Talking of the Trans-Tasman, there has been an addition to the long list for the Australian Trans Tasman team to take part at the Sydney International Horse Trials in April.

Equestrian Australia’s Eventing Selectors today confirmed that Megan Jones and Kirby Park Allofasudden have been included on the long list that will be considered for selection for the Australian Trans-Tasman team.  Megan was originally unsure of her availability for team selection due to a back injury, but has since informed selectors she is now available to compete and be considered for team selection. She joins nine other combinations that will be considered for the team
