How to manage that Quirindi mud

Quirindi is famous for its fertile black soil plains which make it such a good area for agriculture but we found that it had other properties, less alluring, for horses and riders last weekend

One local told us that the mud dried like concrete and throughout the weekend we saw various people ensuring that their horse’s hooves were constantly cleaned to stop the mud ‘balling’ under their feet but our favourite was Hayley Frielick who we captured on camera as she got ready, with her very helpful team, to ride Class Action LP in the CCI1*

Our full photo gallery from Quirindi is coming up tomorrow so stay tuned ................

Picking out the feet - first the rider's boots, then the horse's feet ..............

No there's some still stuck in there!!!................. We need a special tool ........

And a final polish - thank you!
