Entries are now open for this year’s Queensland International 3 Day Event which runs from 28th – 31st August at Warwick Park and the organisers are hoping that eventers, whether riding or not, can help raise money for a good cause by rifling through their underwear drawers. They are calling for donations of pink bras and blue jocks to make up 250 metres of bunting at this year’s event to draw attention to the charity Pink Bras and Blue Jocks which helps support cancer patients
As well as eventing action and a fun run on Sunday to support the charity, the dual Olympian and World Equestrian Games competitor, Ricky Macmillan (above) will be presenting a Dressage Masterclass with the assistance of both Tor and Melissa Van den Berg on dressage day. Ricky will also provide expert dressage commentary at this year’s event
An International Young Horse and 4* Judge, Ricky has competed at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 and achieved over 30 wins at International Grand Prix level including 5 Pacific League World Cup Finals and a CDI-W win in Nunspeet, Holland.
An FEI Judge, she officiates regularly in all states of Australia and has judged in over 17 countries. Ricky is active both in Australia and internationally as a judge educator and is a well-known trainer and coach. She is also on the organising committee of Brisbane CDI.
