Although grey clouds threatened today at Werribee the sun managed to peep through from time to time allowing the horses at the trot up to look their best.
Some riders did well to keep their horses under control as they were obviously feeling keen to get the competition underway.

With that in mind tomorrow sees the start of the dressage with the CCI* starting at 8.30am in the Kelly arena and the CCI2* at 9.30am in indoor arena 1.
The trade-stand holders were all busy today getting set up for business, all delighted to once again be protected from the worst of the weather under the huge marquee that Werribee is getting known for.
So even if the weather is bleak tomorrow get out to Werribee to see some the country's best riders take their less experienced horses through their paces. Enjoy all the hospitality that the Melbourne International 3 Day Event, who are celebrating their 55th year, has to offer.
