Update from Victorian Eventing Squads

Such a lovely sight - all dressed up for presentations. Victorian squad members Naomi White and Meryl Dekker are in the middle and Issie Walsh is far right

The final event of the year Lakes and Craters proved to be a great success for our Squad members. This year there was an added incentive of a $100 cash bonus to the highest placed Squad rider in each class. Congratulations to Naomi White CCI2*, Amanda Ross CCI1*, Meryl Dekker CCI1* Young Rider, Emily McQueen and Christopher Height in the Pre-Novice, Charlie King in the Pre-Novice Junior, Cassie Lowe and Tamara Campain in the Preliminary.

After having a sparse end to our Spring (no events in November), the autumn season is shaping up to be non-stop; a great position to be in unless you are trying to find Squad dates for the first half of the year. The first Squad was advertised to be on February 16th & 17th but Warrnambool Horse Trials has secured the Camperdown venue for their event on this weekend so we will be supporting them.

Our new dates for Squads are March 2nd & 3rd, April 13th & 14th, and the Pre-Melbourne Squad June 1st & 2nd. Applications close on Friday 14th December and all riders competing in EV events are welcome to join (see Equestrian Victoria web site for details).

Finally thank you to Equissage and Prydes for their continued support of our Squads. We hope all riders and horses have a lovely restful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you out and about non-stop in the Autumn!
