Shane Rose is the top Australian rider in sixth place
As HSBC, the title sponsor of the Eventing Rider Rankings since 2008, concludes its partnership with the FEI, the final HSBC eventing rankings of 2013 have been published.
As we all know, Andrew Nicholson tops the board and was presented with the $ US$50,000 bonus at Olympia for the HSBC Rankings leader at the end of the 2013 Eventing season. Andrew (634 points) and William Fox-Pitt (621 points) were the only two to break the 600 barrier while third placed Buck Davidson (USA) finished in third on 419, ahead of Germany’s Michael Jung on 384 and his team mate Ingrid Klimke in fifth on 378.
In sixth place is the first of the Australian riders, Shane Rose with a score of 371 and Sonja Johnson just behind him in seventh (364) while New Zealand’s Jonelle Richards is in eighth place, Jock Paget in ninth and Stuart Tinney tenth. In the top 10 therefore there are three New Zealanders, three Australians, two Germans, one British and one American rider.
There are also a host of Australians in the top 50.Chris Burton comes in at 11th, Bill Levett 16th, Sam Griffiths 27th, Kevin McNab 28th, Will Enzinger 26th and Katja Weimann in 50th.
In the top 100 are Natalie Blundell in 58th, Craig Barrett in 65th, Lucinda Fredericks 68th, Seumas Marwood 76th, Paul Tapner 78th and Megan Jones in 97th.
