“She is a warrior” says Mike Tindall of his wife Zara who gave birth to their third child on the bathroom floor on Sunday
Mike Tindall announced the new arrival on his rugby podcast (above), which certainly took priority over the normal coverage of the weekend’s matches, when he surprised his fellow presenters by saying “And then Sunday got even better because a little baby boy arrived at my house”
Since the podcast, it has been announced that the Queen’s latest great-grandson weighed 8lbs 4oz (3.74kg) and will be named Lucas Philip Tindall, with the middle name as tribute to Zara’s grandfather
Lucas is the couple’s third child, joining their two daughters, six-year-old Mia Grace and two-year-old Lena Elizabeth.
Zara may not have been ‘back on a horse the next day’ as asked in the podcast but we’re delighted to hear that she is out and about. We congratulate the Tindalls on their latest addition to the family and look forward to seeing Zara back out competing soon!
