The happiest American rider on Saturday afternoon at Rolex Kentucky was probably Will Coleman who finished in eighth place after the cross country on Obos O’Reilly.
Not only because he had completed the difficult cross country phase without jumping or time faults, he had also won the Land Rover Best Ride of the Day Award by finishing one second under the optimum time. His prize is a two-year free lease on a 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport although he admits he may not be driving it much in the future
“This may be the only time I get to sit in the driver’s seat, though, because I believe my wife, Katie, will drive it the most. I’ll probably be lucky if I get to sit in it at all,” he said
