Check out the Burghley stables and horses with last year's winner and man of the moment, Andrew Nicholson
I will be working hard as a member of the press at this year’s Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials but I’m still tempted to bid on this!
There is a fantastic opportunity to two people to have the ‘best of the best’ experience at Burghley – one of my favourite events in the world (maybe the favourite if Adelaide will forgive me).
Two lucky people will experience Land Rover VIP treatment at the 2013 Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials where your access pass will allow you behind the scenes familiarity of proceedings as well the chance to get up close and personal with the stars.
You and one other will receive
• Highly sought after Membership passes for the full four days.
• Lunch for two with Sir Mark Todd and Zara Phillips, MBE in Land Rover’s VIP Hospitality Suite on the Sunday of the event (September 8, 2013).
• A guided tour of the formidable cross country course to view fences ranging from wide ditches and tall brushes or maybe a bunch of man-made mushrooms, a pair of parked cars or even a boat. All with the inside running from Sir Mark Todd and with Land Rover transportation (on either Thursday or Friday, September 5/6, 2013).
• A guided tour of the stable area with Andrew Nicholson, the most prolific and consistently successful event rider of all time including the HSBC Leading Rider of 2012, the winner of the 2012 Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials and most recently winner of the Rolex Kentucky 2013. He will introduce you to their true partners in all this, the horses.
• Chauffeur driven Land Rover transfers on Sunday - you will be picked up from anywhere on the UK mainland and returned at the end of the day.
Are you swooning yet? All you have to do is make a bid for this unique prize HERE. Bidding closes on Thursday May 30th and when we last looked the bid was at $5,000 (estimated value $20,000, so sadly, maybe I won’t be bidding)
In addition to having a wonderful time you’ll also be helping The CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust which was founded in 2005 by Catriona Williams, formerly one of New Zealand’s leading international equestrian riders. Following a riding accident in 2002, she is now C6/C7 tetraplegic and confined to a wheelchair.
If you are the winning bid let us know – we’d love to hear about your day!
