With Burghley only a couple of weeks away we thought it was time to take a look at this year’s cross country course. So take some time out of your day, sit down and let Captain Mark Phillips and Alice Plunkett take you around the beautiful Burghley course.

AEL will be at Burghley to catch up all the action so stayed tuned and next week we’ll take a look back at some highlights of 2012 to get you in the mood.
Shop till you drop
In the meantime here are a couple of things to think about if you are planning a visit to The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials
* You are strongly advised, especially on cross country day, to allow an extra hour for the last 10 miles of your journey.
* You can shop till you drop at Burghley - quite literally - because there are two 'Shoppers’ Drop' facilities where you can leave your shopping while you go and watch the equine action … after all isn’t that why you are at Burghley. There again ... maybe not because there is no doubt the shopping at this wonderful event is great!
