CIC classes to return to Naracoorte Horse Trials

The Naracoorte event in South Australia was first run in 1975 as a Junior 3 Day Event for riders 17 and Under and developed into a Young Rider 3 Day Event until 2004.

In view of the gap in Young Rider eventing competition in Australia, the Naracoorte Horse Trials Committee has decided to investigate the possibility of including a Junior/Young Rider CCI class to celebrate their 40th Anniversary in 2014.

To assist with preparing for these classes they have welcomed back on board renowned Cross-Country course designer Wayne Copping.  As most people will know Wayne has been course designer for the Australian International 3 Day Event in Adelaide for the past few years and he has previously designed the course at Naracoorte.

Wayne is delighted to again be a part of this iconic event and has already started the designing process.  To be ready for 2014 some new fences will be completed for inclusion in the 2013 season for which some exciting new developments are already planned. Watch this space..!!!

In recent months there has been a surge of support and offers of assistance from both the South Australian and the interstate eventing community so, with this renewed enthusiasm and vision, the Committee hopes to build Naracoorte back into one of the ‘must attend’ Horse Trials of the Australian eventing calendar.

A new website is currently at being built which will contain all the latest news and galleries of facilities, grounds and Cross-Country developments. For further information about the event or to contact the Committee, visit www.naracoortehorsetrials.com
