It's that time of year when we all start hoping that we've been good enough for Father Christmas to us bring something nice. Here are our first two list makers starting with Hamish Cargill's list ...
Dear Santa,
I'd love a few spare legs for my horses. If we were able to substitute in new legs then eventing would be a far easier sport.
Hamish might like to take a look at this idea for a cyber-horse
I'll have a new horse with 4 Star potential too please. Since we can't substitute in new legs I'm running a little short in that department. If the Christmas gods are feeling generous, I'll take one for Bols too.
Maybe a horse something like this …
What will I be doing at Christmas?
Christmas has always been a time to forget about horses for a while. I've never really understood the people who get excited about going show jumping at this time of year. While they're off sweating it up on horseback, I'm going to take the time to swan around and plan my assault on the eventing world in 2014.
And now it's the turn of Vicki Burgess – Secretary of Eventing NSW
Dear Santa
Would it be possible to get the following:
Less changes to the rule books.
The cat, not to sharpen her claws, on our new sofa we have ordered as a family Christmas present.
Trying to stop the cat scratching the new sofa might be the least of Vicki's problems at Christmas
Motivation to ride my horse more….that means cooler weather over Christmas.
A week or so on the beach.
Maybe Vicki could get motivated to ride her horse whilst also being at the beach!
Also could our horses get their usual present - a tetanus booster.
This doesn't seem much of a Christmas present to us!
What will I be doing at Christmas?
We will have Christmas this year with Darryl’s family, lots of nephews and nieces, so always a good time.
Keep a watch out for some other Dear Santa's coming up soon.
