After the first day of competition at the 2012 Grand Complet, Clayton Fredericks is provisionally leading the CIC1*.
Clayton, who won the World Cup class here last year on Dunge’s Laurent Rose (pictured above), is riding MR Sydney Rocks and Sorrento in the CIC 1* this year. After the first session of dressage, Clayton leads on Sorrento, a dark bay Hanoverian gelding (who is for sale if anyone is interested!) with a score of 39.1 pts and in 37th place on MR Sydney Rocks. The 4/5-year-old French national champion, Bart L ridden by Bertrand Vuatoux (FRA), finished 2nd just ahead of Genevieve Clark (GBR) on Uchin. 72 combinations have competed so far in the CIC 1* class and another 66 will compete on Thursday.
The 129 riders entered in the CIC2* all passed the trot up and will start on Thursday morning at 8h30 with Alexandre Blanc (FRA) and will end on Friday at 18h00 with Stanislas de Zuchowicz (FRA). The World Cup CIC 3* trot up will take place on Thursday at 18h00.
