Everyone getting set up before the start of the camp
Around 80 children together with their families, friends and coaches have made their way to ‘Mirrabooka’ the property of Roger and KA White, near Moruya for the Eventing NSW Summer Camp. The instruction began at 8am this morning with coaches from all over the state ready to pass on their knowledge to the keen youngsters. Instruction will be given in all three phases of eventing during the day with evenings spent relaxing - possibly not around the campfire!
The tarps come out as the rain falls but it much nicer than the scorching temperatures of a few days ago
The summer camp is well known for the fun aspect and children usually love the opportunity of getting together with their friends and spending time not just riding but swimming in the nearby river or beach.
After two days of coaching the camp will be running a ‘protocol’ day on Wednesday where riders can ride a dressage test and a show jumping round which will be judged and critiqued afterwards. This is a great help to so many riders and will be particularly beneficial to those who are staying for the Mirrabooka one day event which will be held on Thursday.
During the week we will try to keep you up to date with what is happening at the clinic, and at the event, so make sure you keep an eye on the website.
