The Eventing Queensland Annual awards held on Saturday 1st December featured many well known and up and coming riders plus deserving volunteers. Sponsored by OzShots Photography, OTT Yards and Jumping Equipment and Sandale Saddlery, this was a great evening for the Queensland eventing fraternity to get together and celebrate their year and the addition of a new venue to the eventing circuit.
Drumroll..... and the winners were;
Queensland Horse and Rider of the Year
Awarded to the Horse and Rider (Senior Classes only) competing in Star classes only at Queensland Official Horse Trials, (One, Two and Three Day Events) which accrues the highest points throughout the season.
Successful combination of DEBBIE KOPP & KING TIM on 64 points narrowly beating MATTEA DAVIDSON on FAIRBANKS CARGO on 63 points.
Queensland Junior Rider of the Year (Mark Myers Trophy)
Awarded to the Queensland Junior Rider who accrues the highest points in Queensland Official Horse Trials (One, Two and Three Day Events), throughout the season.
Winning rider was MADISON SIMPSON who accrued 51 points on 2 horses.
Queensland Senior Rider of the Year (Mark Myers Trophy)
Awarded to the Queensland Senior Rider who accrues the highest points in Queenland Official Horse Trials (One, Two and Three Day Events) throughout the season.
MATTEA DAVIDSON had a stand out season on 3 horses and ended the year on 120 points.
Grade IV Horse of the Year
Awarded to the Horse which commenced the season in Grade IV (Pre-Novice) and which accrues the highest point in graded classes at Queensland Official Horse Trials (One, Two, Three Day Events), throughout the season.
BRIERLEY BOLD RUMOR won this award with 38 points.
Most Promising Horse & Rider Combination of the Year (Senior)
Awarded to the horse and rider from any age group but must have started the year in Introductory.

KATELYN SIMPSON on TIRAUMEA COACHMAN
Kylie Wilmen Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the Junior Rider, who on one horse, accrues the highest points score in Junior Classes at Queensland Official Horse Trials (One, Two and Three Day Events) throughout the season. The sponsor of this award is Stubben. For more than a century their core business has been the development and productions of saddles for equestrian sports.
JUSTINE STREATER on BRIERLEY BOLD RUMOR ended the season on 38 points in Pre Novice.
Mare of the Year (Carisbrooke Lady Trophy)

National Horse and Rider of the Year
Awarded to the Queensland Rider who gains the highest points in States other than Queensland
MATTEA DAVIDSON on Fairbanks Cargo
International Rider of the Year
Awarded to the Queensland Rider who gains the highest number of points in International Events during the season.
MATTEA DAVIDSON with 88 points in all CIC & CCI events this year including Adelaide in 2011.

Kristen Heffernan. Kristen was involved in running the Kooralbyn Events this year and also a driving force behind establishing the Tamborine Equestrian Group.
Rising Star Award
Awarded to junior rider who has displayed enjoyment in the sport and or who has been of assistance to O/C at event; usually nominated by TD or Officials at events during the year.
Ashleigh Davis.
Ashleigh rode at 13 Queensland events in 2012, only one of three to compete at this many events. Ashleigh always helps out with setting up and pulling down at events, mainly KEG and TEG which are her local events and was also seen at Toowoomba, FTP, FCHT and WHT helping out.
