The annual FEI Eventing Forum will be held online on 20th January 2024 with the National Safety Officer (NSO) Seminar the following day on 21st January 2024.
The Seminars, that have been organised since 2008, enable National Federations, National Safety Officers, Officials, Organisers and other stakeholders to exchange ideas, experiences and practices as well as providing a platform to develop communication lines to discuss and share.
FEI Eventing Officials, FEI Eventing Athletes, National Federations, NSOs, 4*/5* OCs, Course Builders, etc. are invited to participate in the Online sessions and the Seminar will also be recorded, with the replay available to watch on the FEI Eventing Seminars 2023-2024 page.
Chaired by David O’Connor and Geoff Sinclair, this year’s Online Seminar topics will include:
Horse welfare and wellbeing, Social License to Operate
Consideration for Future Rules revision / discussion
Fitness and Training of Horses / ensuring Athletes train for the level entered
Frangible Devices (Facts and statistics, Instruction manuals effective 1 January 2024, Future developments)
The NSOs Seminar will cover:
National Statistics
Importance of NSO role to communicate / implement Risk Management recommendations / rules
NSOs presentations
