Paul Tapner and Indian Mill at Badminton 2015 - 14th at Indina Mill's first 4* start
Paul Tapner’s Indian Mill (Monkee) is the second Australian horse to be sold to the USA in recent times
The 11 year old thoroughbred by Millkom started his CCI4*career in 2015 with top 20 finishes at Les Etoiles de Pau and Badminton and has been brought through the levels by Paul during the past five years. A promising young horse he qualified for Le Lion d’Angers in 2011 and In 2014 was third in CIC3* for 8/9 Year old horses but will now continue his career in the USA, initially with Phillip Dutton in the saddle
On his Facebook page Phillip says that “We have a new horse, Indian Mill, joining our team. His new owner David Garrett has asked me to evaluate the horse as a potential Young Rider mount for his daughter, Holland, who has been training with me”
“I’m looking forward to competing "Monkee" this spring and working out what might be the most suitable career option for him”
Indian Mill is not the only Australian horse to be US bound with Sandhills Brillaire having been recently sold and Heath Ryan’s 11 year old Aspire R also being sold to America in late 2015
