David Holmes discusses the value of social media for the growth of the sport
The inaugural British Event Organisers Workshop and AGM took place today (Saturday 24th January) and the day was packed with valuable information for eventing organisers
British Eventing CEO David Holmes kicked off proceedings with an overview of British Eventing’s key strategies and he also provided some interesting input to the session on Social Media, Media, Promotion and Advertising – much more about that session coming up in future articles and in the video below (watch Part 2 here)
In the afternoon Mandy Maris of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance presented on Health & Safety and Insurance – hot topics for all event organisers, John Johnson gave a talk on “Eventing through the eyes of the Owner” on behalf of the Event Horse Owners Association and Paul Woodham of the Sports Turf Research Institute presented on “Assessing, preparing and improving the turf on an eventing course”
