Charlotte Dujardin in one of her education sessions at Equitana - one houronly hours after being awarded Sportswoman of the Year
While Charlotte Dujardin was busy at Equitana in Melbourne this morning, she was being named The Sunday Times and Sky Sports Sportswoman of the Year in London
The 29-year-old who won individual and team gold at the London 2012 Olympics and added double gold at the Alltech FE World Equestrian Games in Normandy recently is the third equestrienne to win the prestigious award.
We caught up with Charlotte in Melbourne to congratulate her on the award shortly after it was announced and found out more about her involvement with the eventing world. It turns out that Valegro is not the only equine star that Charlotte rides and she tells us why she is happy jumping horses as long as it is not ‘downhill’
