Harry Meade interview

Harry and Wild Lone on course in Normandy

Having shattered both his elbows following a fall across country in 2013 and coming back to finish third at Badminton this year, Harry Meade was then selected to represent Britain at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, achieving a lifelong aim to ride on the Senior British Team on Wild Lone

Harry bought Wild Lone as four year old and the joy of riding for his country at WEG was shattered when the 13 year old Irish-bred bay gelding died immediately after cross country phase, having jumped clear around the testing track

Harry received his silver medal as a part of the team presentation in Normandy and took part in the parade of British medallists at the 2014 London International Horse Show

In this interview following the parade in front of a sell out crowd of over 7,500 at Olympia Harry speaks to Rupert Bell about the mixed emotions he felt in winning team silver and how he is now looking forward to the European Championships in 2015 and Rio 2016
