Alec with AI3DE Event Director Gill Rolton in Adelalaide
Alec Lochore has been involved with the Australian International 3 Day Event for the past three years and is always a welcome visitor to Adelaide. We spent some time with him during the 2013 AI3DE to find out his thoughts on how eventing is developing as an international sport, the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy and his own company Musketeer Event Management.
Musketeer was founded by Alec in 2001 during the Foot and Mouth crisis in the UK and it is now a well-established event management company, running equestrian events all over the UK such as the Houghton International, the Burnham Market International and the Weatherbys Bank Cholmondeley Castle Horse Trials.
Alec was the eventing manager for the London 2012 Olympic Games and he will be the Technical Delegate for eventing at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy this year so we don’t think you could find anyone more qualified to comment on the state of the sport which Alec thinks ‘is in good nick’
