Freddie Mac, recently second at Blenheim was found by Joanne Bridgman for William Fox-Pitt
In late April at the Sydney International 3 Day Event we met Joanne Bridgman, a lady very well known in both hemispheres as someone with a great eye for a horse. As well as many of the horses she breeds or finds in New Zealand being sold to Australia, including Amanda Young’s Bijou, she has found horses for top riders such as Sir Mark Todd, Lucinda Green and William Fox-Pitt. Indeed three of the lovely horses that William is currently competing – the great ‘but not easy’ Parklane Hawk, Freddie Mac and Henton for Fun, came through Joanne.
Due to some technical hitches with the recording, it has taken a little while to get this to air but finally we’re really pleased to bring you our conversation with the very interesting and entertaining Joanne.
