Rebel and Hillgrove Enviable finished 14th in the CCI4* at Adelaide in 2013 but sadly won't be back this year to contest the competition she would so love to win
Rebel Morrow’s eventing year has not quite turned out as she planned in the run up to Rio 2016. Her top horse Hillgrove Enviable will be returning to competition next year after injury but not in time to make a concerted bid for team selection and her younger horse Belrieve Ice Queen was meant to compete at the NSW State Championships at Goulburn but she also is out, having incurred a minor injury at Canberra.
Debbie Higgs talked to Rebel about how she deals with these disappointments and why it’s important for all riders, especially younger ones, to learn to set new directions when difficulties arise
“There is one thing for sure – I’ll never give up..... you don’t make it to the Olympics if you have the ability to give up”
