Shane as we're used to seeing him at Sydney events - on a horse!
Shane Rose was at the presentations for the Sydney Eventing Winter Classic but, unusually for him, he wasn’t there to pick up a winner’s rug (although his wife Niki did!)
Shane has just returned to riding recently after being injured during a fall from a young horse in early June. It was a serious injury involving broken ribs, a punctured lung and damaged liver, and even the normally bullet-proof Shane has had to take some time to recover. He tells us about the accident and his recovery, how he is now focussing on the Australian International 3 Day Event in November after missing the Melbourne International 3 Day Event and (if the doctor gives the all okay) hopefully a trip to Rio in August for the test event
