When we visited Andrew Hoy’s new yard in Leicestershire earlier this year he told us that a young new horse with a difference would soon be joining his experienced team of Rutherglen, Cheeky Calimbo and Lanfranco
The colourful Jack Sparrow, a 6 year old Irish Sport Horse owned by Mrs. Barbara Keller, arrived at Somerby Stables last week. Edie Murray-Hayden of Gormanstown Stud in Co. Kildare, Ireland found this horse for Barbara as a 5 year old and has competed him up to CIC1* level with Andrew now taking over the reins to further his career

This is one horse that is most certainly going to turn heads and we’re looking forward to seeing him out in competition next year
