Lucinda Fredericks is a bit restricted as where she can compete for a while!
Lucinda Fredericks, who incurred a spiral fracture of the humerus at Blair Castle recently, told us at the Land Rover Burghley International Horse Trials that it would be a couple of months before she will be back in the saddle. However some of her horses will complete the season under various riders with her top horse Flying Finish heading to Pau with New Zealand’s Caroline Powell.
Caroline is based with Flying Finish’s owner Richard Ames who is keen to see the horse finish the season. Lucinda’s accident happened too close to Burghley for Caroline to take over the reins in time to compete there but she will take Flying Finish to some smaller competitions now in preparation for the CCI4* at Pau.
Another of Lucinda’s horses Mr Sydney Rocks, who is up for sale, has gone to Chris Burton for a while. Chris competed him at Pontispool in the Open Intermediate on 14th September and will hopefully take him to Boekelo
Another Australian rider Kevin McNab is taking Shelter Cove, another of Lucinda’s team, to Ballindenisk this week
