The Belgian National Equestrian Federation has announced the combinations to compete at London 2012 Olympic Games.
Karin Donckers (Minderhout) – Gazelle de la Brasserie CH
Joris Van Springel (Retie)– Lully des Aulnes
Carl Boeckaert (Dalton, USA) – Mensa G
Virginie Caulier (Thieusies) – Nepal du Sudre
Marc Rigouts (Lummen) – Dunkas-A
This will be Karin Karin Donckers’ fifth Olympic Games having placed 8th individually in Barcelona, 16th in Athens and 9th in Hong Kong.At the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky she was 4th individually riding her London 2012 mount Gazelle de la Brasserie (pictured above, photo Libby Law)
Carl Boeckaert is based in the USA and competed at the Sydney 2000 Olympics placing 9th as a part of the team competition
Joris Van Springel will be competing in his third Olympic Games, having placed 5th (team) at Athens and 46th (individual) in Hong Kong
Marc Rigouts is the current Belgian eventing champion
Virginie Caulier is the youngest member of the team with a very strong background in Junior international competition
