We wish Taurus a speedy recovery
The sad news that Shane Rose will not be competing at London is devastating for not just Shane, his wife Niki and his groom Michelle, but all his friends and supporters from around the globe who were so looking forward to cheering him on his way round Greenwich.
It would appear that Taurus has sustained a minor injury, which will rule him out of the Olympic Games. Shane commented on twitter; “He’s only a nine year old and will be back soon as it is only a minor injury. Big thanks to the support crew here in London and my supporters at home.”
It looks like Megan Jones will now step into Shane’s place on the team riding Allofasudden.
Everyone here at An Eventful Life would like to say how sad we are that Shane will not be riding at Greenwich. We all have an idea of the hard work and preparation that the whole team at Bimbadeen Park have put into this Olympic campaign, and with only days to go before the opening ceremony it seems so cruel to have the chance of representing your country taken away from you.
However Shane is a true professional and will no doubt be cheering on the rest of team as they take on the world later this week.
