Equestrian fans shouldn’t despair if they won’t be in London for the 2012 Olympic Games, FOXTEL’s recent announcement that it will broadcast every second of Equestrian sport means supporters can catch all the action without leaving their lounge room.
There will be over 56 hours of Equestrian competition at this year’s Olympic Games and FOXTEL will showcase every moment live on one of eight new dedicated channels, which are free to view to subscribers on FOXTEL’s sports package.
To watch the Equestrian action unfold as it happens, subscribers can tune into FOXTEL’s London 6 channel once the Games begin on 27 July.
2012 marks 100 years of Equestrian sport at the Olympic Games. With the best Jumping, Dressage and Eventing riders from around the world converging on London competing in front of a stunning Greenwich Park backdrop, this year’s competition is expected to be the best of all time.
“Never before have Equestrian fans been able to watch every moment of competition at a Games from the comfort of their own home,” said Equestrian Australia’s CEO Grant Baldock. “Fans will be able to follow our riders on their quest for Olympic Glory and share in their journey as it happens and that’s a great thing,” he added.
“Foxtel’s coverage is giving Australian supporters the best seat in the house. The broadcast will transport fans to Greenwich Park where they can witness every gold medal moment as it takes place,” Baldock said.
In another first, FOXTEL’s Olympic Games coverage will be made available over companion devices, including tablets, which means subscribers will be able to watch their favourite Olympic sports over wireless and 3G.
There are six Equestrian gold medals up for grabs in London and Australian riders will be strong contenders when the world’s best meet to decide who will finish on top of the dais.
