We know that when the big events are on, our readers want to be kept up to date with all the news, events and behind the scenes info of what is happening every day. We’ve had some great feedback about our magazine style web coverage so far and we’re aiming to continue this with our coverage of one of the world’s biggest events – London 2012.
We’re delighted to welcome on board Kathy Carter as our London 2012 accredited reporter.
Kathy is a freelance writer with a specialist interest in equestrianism. She has written for equestrian titles including Horse & Hound, British Horse, Horse International and Equestrian Trade News, as well as mainstream British consumer titles such as the Telegraph, Times, Express, Metro, and Scotland on Sunday. She has been writing professionally for over twenty years. Kathy has a specific interest in the equestrian sporting disciplines of the Olympics - dressage, eventing and show jumping – and owns a young Irish sport horse.
Kathy has been selected as one of just 20 sport-specific freelance journalists to attend the 2012 Olympic Games as a press representative and will be providing a report each day for An Eventful Life from the Press Centre at Greenwich Park. Kathy’s reports start with her preview of the event and daily coverage commences on Friday 27th July with the First Horse Inspection for the Eventing

We’ll also be providing a spectator viewpoint and a personal commentary from London 2012 in Deb’s Daily Diary. Debbie Higgs heads to London on July 24th and will be updating us each day on her view of the Games. British by nationality, Australian by residency and very fond of the Kiwis, Deb will be in a perpetual quandary as to who to support but will certainly bring you reports you won’t be getting anywhere else!
