Maxime Livio and Qalao des Mers at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games
French eventing rider Maxime Livio has been suspended by the FEI Tribunal following a positive test for the banned substance testosterone in a horse he was riding in Thailand.
Maxime, who coached the Thai team for the 2014 Asian Games, was riding Bingo S as a catch ride in November at the Pattaya CSI*-W show jumping competition in Thailand. The Thai Federation are supporting Maxime’s claims that he had no prior dealings with the horse but the FEI ruling of the ‘responsible person’ resulted in Maxime’s suspension on 16th February
Samples taken at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) from Maxime’s horse Qalao des Mers competing in Eventing returned positive for the Controlled Medication substance Acepromazine and he is currently awaiting the outcome.
