Whoops! Watch all the thrills and spills on the live streaming such as Bundy Philpott's tumble last year
The 2014 NRM Horse of the Year Show is going live . . . live streaming that is, for those who can't be in Hawke's Bay at one of the biggest sporting celebrations in the Southern Hemisphere.
HOY show director Kevin Hansen is excited about the new free development.
“This is modern technology and can only help the show become more internationally-recognised,” he says.
While this year it will concentrate on events in the Land Rover Premier Arena – with the exception of the JB Olympic Cup which Sky has the rights to – hopes are high to extend coverage to other disciplines in the future.
It is the first big event for new company Event Freak, who hail from Taupo. And the man behind it – Nik Eliadis – can't wait to get underway.
Coverage will be fed from the big screen in the main arena, but will also include Saturday's much-anticipated cross country.
Viewers can access the free live streaming from anywhere in the world from Wednesday 10.30am (NZ time). After the show, there will also be pay-per-view options to download classes and coverage.
