The countdown to Paris 2024 is on

The calendar of Qualification Events for the Olympic Games 2024 finalised by the FEI kicks off with events in Chile, Australia, New Zealand and Italy. These provide the first opportunities for riders to gain their individual minimum eligibility results (MERs) in January and February 2023

The period for Athletes and Horses to obtain the FEI minimum eligibility requirements starts on January 1st 2023. Athletes and horses aiming for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games can obtain the MERs at different events at the specified level which take place between 1 January 2023 and 24 June 2024 included.

The first qualifying 4* events will be held at Quillota, Chile in January and February. A new event at Werribee Park in Victoria (2nd – 5th February) has been added and Tamborine in Queensland (18th & 19th February) will provide much-needed qualifying CCI4* competitions in Australia after many wash-outs in 2022.

New Zealand kicks off at Springbush (Papakura) on 25th & 26th February and European riders will get their first run in Italy at Montelibretti, which runs two separate competitions on 27th & 28th February and 9th – 12th March

March sees the first USA and British qualifying events at Carolina International (Raeford, USA) from March 16th – 19th and the Eventing Spring Carnival at Thoresby Park from 31st March – 2nd April

A total of 65 athletes will take part in the eventing competition at Paris 2024, including three from the host country. There will be a maximum of three athletes per National Olympic Committee (NOC), including a maximum of two individuals or a team of three.

16 quota places for teams (48 athletes) will be allocated through the team qualification process, and 17 athletes will obtain one individual quota place each for their NOC through the Individual qualification process.
